So no, it’s no more impolite or rude for a haole to use Aloha, Mahalo, or any other Hawaiian term than for a Kanaka himself/herself. You want to use Aloha, Mahalo, haole, hapa, or whatever other popular Hawaiian terms? Just do it! But do it by respecting the meaning of those terms.
