Now you’ll see an “x” on each uninstallable app. Tap x on the Flipboard icon. A confirmation message will appear. Tap Delete.

Deleting the app will remove the app and all of its data from your phone, freeing up precious storage space. Moving it to your App Library will only remove the app icon from your home screen.

The Flipboard Briefing app is not available on iOS devices and is limited to Samsung Android phones and tablets. The Flipboard Briefing app comes pre-installed on many newer Samsung phones and can only be disabled, not uninstalled.

What is the difference between deleting and uninstalling it? The delete feature is used to remove documents, pictures, and other files used by programs on your computer. Uninstall is used to remove a program installed on a computer.

You can uninstall apps you’ve installed on your phone. If you remove an app you paid for, you can reinstall it later without buying it again.

Uninstalling an app deletes app temporary files and installation files on a device, and just removes that particular entry point to your account on Facebook’s server. Some apps store data outside of the hidden/protected app-allocated space on the device – in public folders.

Under no circumstances should you simply delete the program folder of the application to uninstall it, because this could leave numerous files and entries in the system, which could threaten the stability of the system.

Normally, you should never have to do this yourself. Removing programs with their provided uninstaller or the Remove Programs control panel should remove whatever was put there. Unfortunately, many applications don’t do a great job of cleaning up, or leave behind components that might be shared with other applications.

An uninstaller, also called a deinstaller, is a variety of utility software designed to remove other software or parts of it from a computer. It is the opposite of an installer.

Consider deleting any files that you don’t need and move the rest to the Documents, Video, and Photos folders. You’ll free up a little space on your hard drive when you delete them, and those that you keep won’t continue to slow your computer down.

Windows suggests different types of files you can remove, including Recycle Bin files, Windows Update Cleanup files, upgrade log files, device driver packages, temporary internet files, and temporary files.

For the most part, the items in Disk Cleanup are safe to delete. But, if your computer isn’t running properly, deleting some of these things may prevent you from uninstalling updates, rolling back your operating system, or just troubleshooting a problem, so they’re handy to keep around if you have the space.

Right-click your main hard drive (usually the C: drive) and select Properties. Click the Disk Cleanup button and you’ll see a list of items that can be removed, including temporary files and more. For even more options, click Clean up system files.

To find this, open the Settings screen and tap Storage. You can see how much space is used up by apps and their data, by pictures and videos, audio files, downloads, cached data, and miscellaneous other files. The thing is, it works a little bit differently depending on which version of Android you’re using.
