How do I set up a Ventra account?
You can register your Ventra Card in one of three ways:
- Online at ventrachicago.com.
- Via the Ventra App, available to download from the iTunes App Store or the Google Play Store.
- By calling Ventra customer service at (877) 669-8368.
How do you add a Ventra card to your account?

Can I re register my Ventra card?
A new card will be sent automatically to the address you have registered to your account. If you have not registered your Ventra Transit Account, you will be required to get a new replacement Ventra Card and pay the replacement card fee.
How do I get my Ventra access code?
Log in to your account with your username and password. Log in, or Don’t know your username/password? Then, click “Account Settings” to find your access code. You only need an access code if you are calling from a phone number not registered to your Ventra Account when activating your Ventra Card.

Do Ventra U-Passes expire? If their card is expiring, they will need to purchase a new, regular full fare Ventra Card to continue travel. If you have a balance of unused funds or unused passes and if your card is registered, you may transfer your balance to your new card by calling Ventra Customer Service.

Can you use ventra app on bus?
To activate your U-PASS, you must tap it on an ORCA card reader within 60 days of issuance. ORCA card readers are found at the front of buses or mounted on a wall or pole at Link, Sounder or Swift stations. What’s the difference between CTA and Pace?

The Student Ventra Card for CPS students costs $5.00 and may be purchased only through your child’s school. The card is valid for use on the CTA for five years, which means you will no longer have to buy a new card every school year.

What does it mean when your Ventra card says suspended?
Student Ventra Cards are issued by many schools, including all Chicago Public Schools. They can load directly to their account the Pace 30-Day Reduced Fare Pass that offers unlimited rides without school-hour restrictions, or simply add transit value to pay a reduced fare per ride during the school year.
How do I add money to my Ventra card online?
