'A typical Eid day for the Khan family is to start with morning prayers. This year, our afternoon plans entail attending an Eid lunch at our aunt’s home, so we look forward to catching up with some of our family friends there that we haven’t seen in a while! Eid is also about dressing up and usually wearing a new item of clothing, so it’s always fun to see everyone adorned in colourful fabrics and playful makeup looks.
'After socialising throughout the day, our family prefers to keep the evening lowkey and do something very casual together in sweatpants, although other families may continue to attend parties throughout the night!
'Since Ramadan is more of a spiritual month for us, we usually take a break from crazy manicures and tend to focus inwards. This is precisely why the night before Eid, we're all rushing to the salon to get our nails done, hair blow-dried and beyond. Selfridges is the holy grail for all beauty treatments, so you might catch us there the evening before Eid, if we are celebrating in London.
'We’re definitely going to be wearing our CTZN Gold eye shimmer with a pop of pink of the lips using Nudiversal in Los Angeles, our unanimous favourite Lip Duo shade. If we end up going out in the evening, we will definitely transition into a red lip using Code Red shade Laal. We love getting our hair blow-dried for Eid, so we like to opt for a beachy wave look, and definitely a colourful nail moment.'
